SLAVA CELEBRATION AT MONASTERY MARCHA
Richfield, OH - His Grace Bishop Mitrophan of Eastern America officiated at the Holy Hierarchical Liturgy on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at the Monastery of St. Archangel Gabriel, Monastery New Marcha in Richfield, Ohio, on the occasion of their monastery Slava. Concelebrating with the bishop were Archimandrite Leontije (Alavanja), V. Rev. Stavrophor Rade Merick, V. Rev. Djordje Mileusnic, V. Rev. Rodney Torbic, V. Rev. Zivojin Jakovljevic, Rev. Aleksa Pavichevich and Deacon Ljubisa Mitrovic and Diocesan secretary Deacon Dragoslav Kosic.
Fr. Rodney delivered the homily following the service. He spoke in depth on the virtue of gentleness, it's place in our lives and the gentleness of God found throughout Scripture. Kumovi for this year's celebration were V. Rev. Milan and Protinica Lindsay Zobenica.
A slava luncheon was served afterward.
