Milton, Ontario - On Wednesday, June 15, 2011 a volunteer work day was organized at the Holy Transfiguration Monastery in Milton at which the clergy of eastern Canada deanery took an active part in, led by Bishop Georgije. Immediately following the Matins services at 9am, after a light breakfast, they began with arranging, cleaning, lawn work, cleaning the fountains ... that they might more beautifully prepare this large and spacious property for the upcoming Diocesan Day celebration on Saturday, June 18 and Sunday June 19, 2011.
Though it was very hot and humid everything was completed by 3pm when a lunch was prepared by this year's host Prota Vasa from Kichener. During the lunch the brother clergy spoke with the Bishop of the upcoming Diocesan day. His Grace reviewed the planned schedule of events as well as the list of duties assigned to clergy during the festivities.
At the end it was decided that for the formal Diocesan celebration as well as the Diocesan day, the Monastery Slava and similar occasions, the clergy, together with the bishop, order identical vestments to be used during these occasions in the life of the Diocese more formal.
The volunteer work day ended with Vespers.
