DECISION - POSITION ON UKRAINE
Regarding the controversial and painful theme of the irregular ecclesial situation in Ukraine after the well-known unilateral interventions and decisions of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, the Holy Assembly of Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church proclaims, officially and unanimously, that the position of our Church on this problem remains unchanged, in accordance with all its official synodical decisions, assertions and pleas. Accordingly, the Serbian Orthodox Church does not recognize the newly established para-ecclesial structure in Ukraine, headed by citizens Denysenko and Doumenko; the Serbian Church is in liturgical and canonical communion exclusively with the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church headed by Metropolitan Onufriy.
Our Serbian Church is undoubtedly in communion with all of the rest of the canonical Orthodox Churches.
We repeat that our Holy Hierarchical Assembly appeals again to every direction that the ecclesial problem of Ukraine be solved in canonical manner, in a brotherly dialogue with the Russian Orthodox Church in general and in Ukrainian Orthodox Church in particular, along with a consultation on a Pan-Orthodox level.
