THEOPHANY IN INDIANAPOLIS

Indianapolis, IN - Every year on the day of the baptism of our Lord two of the old calendar churches in Indianapolis Indiana gather at St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church for Divine liturgy. Following liturgy all of the faithful drive out to the nearest river (White River) for a blessing. This year while we lead a procession from the parking lot to the water and back we had company – a great flock of Canadian geese were flying directly above us. We truly had a feeling all the living things were joyous at this occasion. Following the blessing we came back to Saint Nicholas Hall for fellowship and meal.
